Artist Bio 

Danah Beaulieu is a Kingsville-based artist known for her intuitive artwork created in her unique “art of allowing” process. She creates to connect! Danah is inspired by the wondrousness of the natural world and humanity in it's becoming.  Danah is an artistic translator of the essence of things, creating portraits of the “Soul” that reveal the subtle and unseen mystery of recognizable subjects, natural processes and places, creating imaginative, thought and emotion provoking visual experiences. By immersing herself in the physical and ethereal, her art conveys these worlds unite and co-create. Danah, with joy, passion, reverence and wonder, translates the the phsycial and unseen worlds curiously....colourfully...expressing the beauty of creation, growth and becoming in all its glorious diversity.   

Message from Danah

I create to connect. When I hold a paint brush or my pastels and see the colours I feel a sensation of aliveness and joy within me! Sometimes I create with an image, a concept, a subject or an experience in mind that I may want to explore. Other times, especially when creating Soul Portraits, I create intuitively, this means I am connecting to the moment and creating art spontaneously. I may be connecting to something alive or energetic: a sound, a scent, a colour, a location, an emotion, music, lyrics, poetry, as well as other living dimensions. Plus, anything in nature and 3D: like plants, flowers, animals, human beings.  I also love to create forms coming through the bounty and wonder of my imagination and from inspiration from the world around me. My artistic practice is an expressive art of allowing...allowing the moment and my connection to the moment to flow and reveal the creative moment. I love to discover creativity and it's boundlessness. Creativity is freedom to me, and offers all possibilities. 

My artwork is a connection with Great Source, Consciousness and the curious Collective Conscious in all of its glorious expressions! ​Creating this way is curious, uplifting, healing, fun, mysterious and revealing.  I like to describe my work as mixed with energy....light! LIGHT means to me: pure, joy-filled energy. When mixed with joy, creating in the moment becomes a peaceful and a playful experience for me, a time when I infuse my spirit, emotions and mental mode of curiosity into my artwork.    

Creativity is an adventure of remembering! This belief holds and drives my purpose in creating Soul Portraits.  Soul Portraits are a visual translation of the truth of who WE ALL ARE: whole, healthy, wise and magnificent!  I hope that my paintings bring joy, inspire calm, healing, curiosity, love, peace, upliftment, truth and happiness. My work and life seem to be infused by my belief in the wonderous and mystical, 

 "We exist and create within a great, radiant Circle of Light.  We are part of this Circle, a portal of FLOW.  It's an opening of, and a movement of energy that exists within Every Thing, as One joy, One Love...it is our assignment to jump in! Align! Receive! Create!   Inside this light is a mysterious might that makes our bones "know," flowers grow,  ignites our hearts to beat and transforms the leaves from green to red, to orange, or yellow. Danah's Career Highlights:  

As a professional Artist, Danah has participated in collaborative and solo exhibits locally and internationally. She sells her work and takes commissions. She is extremely proud of her “Spiderwoman” entry in the HerStory Competition of the Manhattan Arts International in New York City which garnered an Award of Merit in 2004.    

In 2005 Danah's entrepreneurial spirit announced the launch of her business Art InDeed - Wellness Through Creativity.  Danah developed an innovative Wellness Through Creativity program for children, teens, adults, seniors and community professionals.  It has been 22 years since Danah began offering her work in community health promotion and development. Fifteen years, within this time-line, she founded her business and built it to employee up to 10 employees.  Art Indeed has served within 50 organizations and businesses within Ontario and served thousands of individuals - bringing the joy of art-making and the healing power of creativity to community! It is an artistic practice in what she calls the Art of Allowing,  a playful and powerful method for expanding ones capacity to enjoy, discover and explore the creative process while experiencing relaxation, inspiration and revelation in the creative moment.  

2010 was an exciting year when Danah's art was chosen to appear in the Internationally Acclaimed Sam Roberts Band's digital album "Love at the End of The World."   

In 2012, Danah was chosen as one of 88 artists throughout the globe to be highlighted in the publication: “Vision, Passion and Purpose – Artists As World Changers” by Renee Philips.  "This book is highlighting artists who are positive, proactive, who dare to step outside the box, who achieve abundance in their lives and those of others. Through their missions, actions, empathy and generosity they contribute to make the world a better place."  

In 2013, Danah won a $5,000.00 grant through the Ontario Arts Council for "The Artist in The Community/Workplace Grant" where she received funding to support her project "Peace by Piece Art Project" at the House of Sophrosyne, a treatment centre for women healing addictions.  

In January 2015, Danah lead her team and with the support and votes of the community to win a nation-wide contest for small business. Art InDeed won the sought after: ADP Grant of $10,000.00.   

Also in 2015 Danah bought her very own building with a private studio to expand studio art programs to the community at large! Danah began expanding her services with her team of creative, caring and compassionate staff who provide service to children, teens, adults and seniors of all backgrounds who desire to experience the fun, healing and transformational quality of art-making and engaging creativit.  This same year Danah pioneered a treasured and one-of-a-kind program known as “Art Cart.” Art Cart is offered at Children’s Aid of Windsor and Essex County.  Art Cart is facilitated by members of the Art InDeed staff and engage with families of children in foster or kinship care. Stocked with art supplies, the “Art Cart” offers fun, healing and creative activities while touring the facility where families reunite. Highlighting this project and initiative is close to Danah's heart as it is to improve the well-being of children and families across Ontario.    

In May 2016, Danah won the Windsor Endowment for the Arts - Community Arts Infrastructure Grant for her dedication, work and contributions in the arts in Windsor, Ontario.  

In 2017 Danah was nominated for the national "Woman of Influence'- RBC Woman Entrepreneur Award.  

2018 brought a wonderful partnership with Windsor Endowment for the Arts' first ever Artist Internship Program through the Eric Jackman Youth Grant in the Arts -  Internship Program where she hosted an internship and provided mentoring to one of Windsor's emerging artists.  

In 2019 Danah began growing Art InDeed’s programs to include combined Art, Music and Sound Healing Programs with a strategic alliance with partner Sounds Plus Healing, a local company  to offer programs such as: "Journey Into Calm" "GLOW from the Inside Out" "Groove is in the Heart “Good Vibrations” and “Music Express”. These programs are designed to provide relaxing and rejuvenating sound baths, colour baths and interactive "Experiences Beyond the Music" including intuitive art-making for families, individuals and community group settings.  Art InDeed offers on-site and off-site options for these programs. 

2020 was a unique year globally! During this year Danah announced and established Danah Grace Art her online gallery and store.  She also launched "Lead Inspired" a Mentorship Program for Artistic and Spiritual Entrepreneurs.

In 2020 "The Healing Power of Art and Artists" an initiative of Manhattan Arts In New York, New York highlighted Danah and her company Art InDeed-Wellness Through Creativity and Danah Grace Art on the topic of how art inspires enhances individuals, society and the environment.
